Frequently asked questions
What people ask us.
Sound therapy, how it is deployed in care facilities, the consumer app and the hardware. If your question is missing, write to us.
Sound therapy
Sound therapy uses sound frequencies (binaural beats, isochronic tones, nature sounds) to induce targeted brain states — relaxation, sleep, focus. It draws on neuroscience and acoustic physics.
No. Melodia is a complementary, non-pharmacological support. It never substitutes for a treatment or a specialist consultation, but accompanies the care pathway.
Our protocols are designed from studies published in PubMed, the National Library of Medicine and ScienceDirect, in neurology, psychology and pain medicine. The Science page details every reference.
Relaxation is often immediate. For lasting effects (sleep, chronic anxiety), regular use of 15 to 30 minutes a day over two to three weeks is recommended.
In institutions
Two formats: the Melodia Station (a fixed, secured solution for treatment rooms) and the Melodia Case (a mobile solution for use at the bedside or in consultation). Modern equipment, after-sales support included. Melodia is used in palliative care, pain management, intensive care, oncology and other departments, as well as in companies and schools.
Yes. On request we arrange a free demonstration at your facility, and the consumer version remains freely downloadable.
The app and the equipment
The download is free, with seven days of sound included, no sign-up and no credit card. You can therefore feel what calibrated sound does for your well-being before deciding on a subscription. That is our aim: that you feel better.
For binaural beats, yes — standard stereo headphones are enough. For isochronic tones and 3D sounds, a quality speaker works. Our kits include optimised headphones.
