Sound therapy designed for
healthcare institutions.
Personalised sound sessions, easy to fit into care pathways, to reduce anxiety, ease the perception of pain and support patients’ sleep.
Melodia’s sound therapy is neither a relaxation playlist nor a singing-bowl workshop. It is a clinical application that delivers, in under a minute and without complex equipment, a sound session matched to the patient’s state: anxiety before a procedure, chronic or procedural pain, difficulty falling asleep, agitation.
Deployed in 14 care institutions across Belgium, France and Switzerland.
Recommended by several patient associations, including Parkinson Belgium (APK) and Fibromyalgia Switzerland (ASFM).
Sound therapy and music therapy: what is the difference?
Music therapy is a regulated discipline built on the relationship between a patient and a music therapist. It is valuable, but it depends on an available professional and a dedicated session time.
Sound therapy as Melodia practises it is a tool: a personalised sound session, started by the caregiver or by the patient, at any time, in any room. The two approaches are complementary. Melodia extends the benefit of sound to the moments when a therapist cannot be present: at night, in intensive care, in palliative care, during a technical procedure.
What are Melodia sound therapy sessions for?
Each session answers a precise therapeutic intention. The soundscape, its length and its frequencies are chosen for a given moment: before an examination, at bedtime, during a painful procedure, or during a task that demands attention.
Better sleep and relief from insomnia
Natural pain management
Emotional support in cases of burnout, depression or mood disorders
Support for well-being and quality of life in people living with Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia and neurological conditions
Sharper focus and mental recentring, notably for people with ADHD
Grounded in neuroscience — the protocols draw on work published in neurology, psychology and pain medicine. References and deployment figures are set out in our publications.
Sound works. It is measured.
Our protocols combine binaural beats, isochronic tones, 3D nature sounds and original compositions. They are built on studies published in neurology, psychology and pain medicine.

Recognised by professionals.
« The experience is quite striking for most of our testers. Melodia does not claim to cure, but it helps improve quality of life. A simple, pleasant and reassuring tool with a positive effect on the emotional sphere — so important for compliance and everyday well-being. »
« The Melodia project is especially promising because it brings together today’s sound techniques and neuroscience. A creative, well-considered project that I support. »
« Adding Melodia to our care pathway has transformed our patients’ pre-operative experience. The subjective reduction in anxiety is clear, and the use of anxiolytics has fallen. »
